Update relationship status
If the female mantis takes off the male’s head,it’s been eaten. Not sliced off and dropped.
And she’s the one probably updating her status…and phoning in a personal ad…“Single lady mantis…. recent widow, slender, voracious…. I mean, vivacious…”
He’s probably writing “I think the relationship with the Missus reached a new level. She just tried to eat me.”
She makes that move while he’s still basking in the moment….or taking the usual post-whoopee nap.
Go a-head, make that call.
Severed all contact with her.
Not the first guy to lose his head over a pretty girl.
sad part is, he’s still head under heals in love with her.

Nature can be cruel and one loses his head in love sometimes.
