Looks like Burl is heading facedown for a mouthful of gravel or a pavement burn on his knees..Hey…..where is everyone?…….there are fewer and fewer posters. It’s like that one STNG episode where people start disappearing from Dr. Crusher’s world. Hullo?
Isn’t there something easier than a Bunny Slope? That’s what Burl and Joy need—and evidently a cherry picker to boot!I hope the lift attendant’s name is George O’Brien, else Verla will ride forever o’er the hills of Aspen. (Sorry, I couldn’t resist.)
And I don’t really understand this one cos I’ve never been on a ski lift…It being the Pennys they have to be doing something wrong but I don’t know what…or why Verl is scared.I’d be scared at the mere idea of Jerry calling me “Baby.” Ewwww.
Everyone gets off when they reach the top, and it IS just a bit scary to jump off a moving chair. I’ve never gone skiing, but it is nice to go up there during the hottest days of the summer because at those high elevations it can be 30 degrees cooler. Our nearest ski lift is about 3 hours drive from here.
I’m here, just running VERY late today. Did a whole bunch of cooking for tomorrow’s Big Feed for Labour Day, and I managed to make a batch of Margarita Jelly, too. Which reminds me — where’s Marg been? Susan yesterday you said she was out of town, so she’s all right?
I can see the boys now on the black diamond (expert) slopes. The scariest thing about getting off the ski lift is wondering if the person behind you is going to run you over if you don’t get out of the way fast enough.
Well…ok….I get that we need to make fun of Burl and Joy’s lack of fitness….but Mr. Ajax Orange Pants would have been taught as his number 1 duty…turn off the chair when someone falls. Happens all the time, with or without snow; and it’s very embarrassing.
