I once had the experience of teaching a student in one of my writing classes who was also a fellow student in my fencing class; I often went against her in practice bouts. One day, she and I staged a short practice bout for the other students and I had no discipline problems in that class for the rest of the term.
A friend of mine is a trained martial artist. []They loved having him as a substitute teacher over at the school for kids with discipline problems, as they didn’t have to worry about any of the kids messing with him.
