The liberal media has such a narrow window to do their reporting It renders it harmless.

The world is a stage, and we are only actors upon it, and the plot is full of holes and badly performed, and yet we…oh, just pass the popcorn.

@OddDog….“shinning” is pretty painful for an old guy. Or did you mean “sinning”?

simple as that; so what is new?

After having several family members whose deaths have appeared in the news, I seriously question the media’s ability to get the facts straight even beyond political agendas. (a family member was hit by a truck walking across the street – the news reported that she was on a bicycle. I have no idea where they got the bicycle part from. :/) Reporting now seems to be more about broadcasting the news before everyone else and worrying about being accurate after the fact.

Yes, I know I could subscribe, but I switch addresses pretty often, I can’t keep up with reading even the Sunday ones, and then there’s the joy of the chase . . .

Wrong! Everybody knows “Blessed Leader B.O.” controls the media. That’s why nothing finding fault with “Him” is ever reported.

@Sturmi: I grew up in DC and I remember those tractors helping with the snow—it did get reported, with the community’s gratitude, enough that I remember it all these years later even though I never personally saw them at it.
@Bluepumpkin, I’m so sorry for your losses.
Re the news conglomerates: a generation ago it was against the law for one entity to own all of one media market; if you wanted yet another TV station you had to sell a newspaper, or radio station, or… You get the idea. It was a good law. I believe Rupert Murdoch is the one who pushed to get it overturned.

“The truth has a well-known liberal bias”— Stephen Colbert
In fact, the mainstream media generally have as hard a rightwing slant as the facts will allow. That’s true even after the facts are distorted through the incompetence of reporters and editors. In every single instance where I’ve examined msm coverage of any matter on which I possess authentic knowledge, the coverage has been hilariously inaccurate. The rightwing bias is seen most clearly in their application of censorship, that is, what stories they choose not to cover. If one-tenth of the crimes of the corporations and of elected officials were reported, we’d have open revolt. Of course, the average wingnut can’t see that. By definition, he’s incapable of critical thinking.

When I see a poll that has members of the mass media with a 50/50 democrat vs republican voting record vs. the 90% that it is now, I will believe the media is not liberal, but until then….

Tigger, I’d vote Upton out, but too many people disagree with me. I do disagree that all of them are bad. There are good ones….Keep those and vote the others out….
