Nelson’s parents need to have a girl so that there’s one grandkid for grampa and one for gramma.

Now that you mention it, does this kid even have parents?

Nelson’s parents perished in a coleslaw accident. Occasionally Earl is haunted by the shade of his daughter.

Nelson gets the best of both worlds.
