Peter: Sir, about my grade on the physics test... teacher: A "B" as I recall. Peter: Yeah, see, the thing is I was really hoping to start this school year off on a positive note. teacher: A "B" isn't a bad grade. Peter: Yeah, but it's not a POSITIVE grade, you know? It's just kinda neutral. teacher: I'd call it a positive grade. Peter: But you yourself told us the symbol for positive is a plus sign. Hint hint hint... teacher: Ah. Well, let's see what I can do... Peter: AAAA! A "D+" isn't a positive grade! teacher: You're really confusing me here, Peter.

Peter, learn to quit while you’re ahead. I assure you that your parents would find a B to be perfectly acceptable (especially given your overall record).

C is neutral. B is above average. You have to know when to stop, Peter. You got greedy.

Wasn’t he one of those Punisher-type characters that didn’t catch on?

I like the teacher’s concept, but he was a little too mean. I’d have gone for the C+ ;)
Daniel Aplet about 12 years ago
well he should have marked c+,It is not as good as the B but if a + is what you wanted there you go.

Too often in my school days, A meant average, something one was expected to get. Anything less was disgraceful. A+ was best.

I’m thrilled whenever I get a “B” on a test, ‘cause it means all the studying I do is paying off, and that I’ll do even better on my next test. So why complain?

It was mathematically determined, you gotta go for credit on how well you got the bad answer, dummy!

He should have quit while he was above average.
