I tell my patients to keep the sales agreement for hearing aids as it qualifies as a medical expense for tax purposes. Many of the seniors tell me they no longer have to file as their income is too low.

I’m on disability due to arthritus and related problems and my income is so low that I don’t have to pay any federal tax, as far as the state tax is concerned they owe me money because I get a refund from the taxes I pay with my rent.
