I’m sure this has been said before, but I almost don’t want her to get into a relationship with Quill. I’d like to see her get into one, or if with Quill I’d like to see it kind of blow up in her face. Not to be mean or anything, but Quill has proven to be a great guy so far, but Luann hasn’t really expressed a reason for liking him other than that he is hot, has an accent, and pays attention to her. I mean, she wants to be in a relationship, but I could really see things going south if she started dating Quill, because she couldn’t get away with just mushy-gushy “He’s so hot” all the time. She’d have to start putting someone else first instead of just relishing in his attention to her.

Perhaps Quill’s dad talked him into enlisting into flight school and officer training courses so he could enter the forces at a senior level and then make a career in the Australian army or airforce. Quill should be able to discuss his issues with Luann via Skype. I don’t think Quill is gay;however, I believe his dad is pretty controlling and is trying to determine Quill’s future for him.

Luann needs to get control of her feelings; she’s far too young to be so distraught over a fellow she barely associated with on an ongoing basis.She needs advice from a school counsellor or someone impartial who can put her feelings into perspective and show her she’s thinking with her hormones rather than her brain.

Quill is quite the wise lad indeed.I’ve been in way too many SMS “storms” to know that it is a hopeless way to communicate important discussions. My vote is on his reappearance. Greg was not happy with the way he managed his exit.

Yes, I’m embarrassed to say it took me a while to make the connection. And that might in fact be what’s going on, and why he wants to wait to talk to Luann. Of course, asking her family to host him might make life a tad complicated all around…

As I remember, Quill was asked to make a presentation to the Chamber of Commerce and they were impressed with it..Upon reflection, they want to use him in a PR piece for Pittsville so they called for more info. That’s how they found out he had to move back to Australia because his father’s work was finished here. So they checked with the state and local school authorities to confirm their belief that they could sponsor him for a student exchange program. Upon receiving permission (with enthusiasm) they made the offer to Quill’s family and they accepted..The catch (isn’t there ALWAYS one?) is that they needed to find an American student to go to Australia for the exchange to be valid. The council’s choice would have been Tiffany, but their experience is that she doesn’t reflect their concept of honor and dedication to American ideals. So they chose Delta, who was confirmed by Obama as a very desirable example of America’s ideals. HOWEVER, they are not permitted to make this public until all the details are complete and Delta’s family has not been advised of this agreement..So the Internet, being fraught with hacking, and viral communications, Quill is not permitted to use it to discuss ANY aspect of the subject. Therefore, he cannot email, tweet, Skype, etc. any of the details. He must rely on a non-Internet phone call to discuss this with Luann. THERE – you have all the answers for what is happening and why Quill cannot use Internet based communications for specifics. BTW, the Australian government and the US government are both checking his postal mail to make sure he doesn’t reveal any details in snail mail either.

Yes, it sounds like he wants to talk or video Skype this conversation.Texting/email very rarely givens the tone in which the writer creates it. .Quill, tell her what you feel, what you want. Put it all on the line..Go for it.

Why does it push your buttons so much? Yes, it’s unlikely and kind of silly, but so what? I see a lot of silly speculation and/or takes on the characters of the strip in this comments section and don’t feel compelled to try and stifle or shame the speculators into silence. It’s part of having a comments board. You can always ignore the poster’s comments in the future.

Touché! Though I have strong reservations that that’s how it’ll play out
