In today’s cartoon, Ruthie draws a picture of her “friend”, Cylene. Cute!Being alone a lot, I used to talk to my birds. I also talk to photos (even discuss a recent book I’ve read with the author if they have a photo on the cover). Recently to Dean Ornish about his Reversal diet and to Dr Weil, whose newsletters I have because I’m subscribed to a vitamin plan.

I used to hear that talking to one’s self was a sign of insanity, but a more charitable explanation is that it’s a sign of loneliness.

I talk out loud to myself just to practice elocution. But not while bathing.

I find that talking to myself is a good way to slow down my thoughts so I can get a better look at them.

I talk to myself all the time. I’m the only one who can figure out what I’m talking about.

If 75% of the stuff we say to ourselves is negative, isn’t that a dumb thing to say? ………DOOOOOOHHHH!
