Oh yes, apple pie. You can’t beat it. My Mum would make an apple crumble. Dad used to call it Mum’s knock down kill me quick ". It was noted that we all ate it.

Home Made Pumpkin (not with store bought filling) is my #2 … a fresh made Apple Pie with a slice of sharp cheddar on top hmmm yum!

My favorite pies are blueberry, chocolate, apple, cherry, strawberry and pumpkin . . . in that order!!!!! ;-)

One of my favorite movie scenes is from “Michael” where they order two slices of every pie on the menu all the cast shares in tasting them.

My choice would be saskatoon and rhubarb (frozen saskatoons on there own tend to be hard or rubbery) the combination is the best. Even better than wild blueberry.

When I was about 9, my Mom asked what I wanted for a birthday cake. I said, “How about a pumpkin pie?” With a May birthday, it was a long stretch without a pumpkin pie. Easter if I was lucky, otherwise Thanksgiving and Christmas. Pie is better than cake, hands down. Apple, cherry, lemon meringue, pumpkin, key lime, pecan, sweet potato, blueberry, strawberry-rhubarb…I love PIE!
