Alice: Mom! Read me this book at bedtime! Petey says there's an Alice in it! Mom: "Alice in Wonderland!" Alice: He says it's freaky! Alice falls into an extinct volcano where she's menaced by pig babies, invisible cats and a doorman in a teapot! At the end, after a helicopter chase, they make her the queen and everybody has pie! Dad: That's in "Alice in Wonderland"? Alice: Boy, oh boy! Mom: Last week she added a rabies subplot to "Winnie the Pooh."
Can you all imagine Alice, Ruthie & Calvin on the same field trip? Toss in Zack, the criminal for good measure! Whoa!
