Mom: Hey, guys! How was trick-or-treating? Alice: Embarrassing! Nobody ever even heard of Queen Rattlebasket! Petey: Pointless! I dropped my blank sheet of paper costume and Dad stepped on it. A blank sheet of paper with a footprint on it makes no sense as a costume. Dad: Great! Nobody recognized me in my quiet neighbor who always keeps to himself and seems so pleasant costume for the eighth year in a row!

Embarrassing! Pointless! Great!Isn’t “Quiet Neighbor who Always Keeps to Himself and Seems So Pleasant” what the neighbors always say to the prodding TV parasites about the the guy who just slaughtered and dismembered 25 of his office co-workers with a meat cleaver?

One year, a friend with a great sense of humor came to the elementary school party dressed as “Morning Mom.” You know: bathrobe, slippers,curlers, mascara smeared under her eyes, pancake spatula in her hand. Her son was mortified, but all the other moms thought it was hilarious!
