Beni: Inez! Stop kicking! Mama says it's time to eat! Petey: You know this toddler? Toddler: Sonaja. Alice: Of course he does! That's Beni's sister, Inez. Beni: Ha ha! She says Petey's head looks like a rattle! Alice: He gets that all the time! Petey: Is the ball game over? Why are you wearing a crown? Alice: Beni kicked the ball onto the roof. The crown is because I'm the Picnic Princess! Petey: This is why I stay in my room all the time. Kevin: I know what you mean.
I don’t know about the Asperger’s syndrome diagnosis. According to some people, Glenn Gould and Vladimir Nabokov had Asperger’s. They, like Petey, were talented, smart. and cautious, and they weren’t overly fond of other people. That’s not a medical condition. That’s just a realistic worldview.
