Many, many years ago, when I was 6 or so, my younger friend down the street got a new tricycle. I asked to ride it, and he said sure, but only for 10 minutes. I hopped on and he started counting, as fast as he could: one, two, three …. straight to 10. “Get off,” says he. I protested, “That wasn’t even 10 seconds!” He grabbed my arm to pull me off and bite into my upper arm, through a Winter jacket. He actually drew blood. He got his comeuppance several months later when he showed my older sister and me that he had 50 cents to go to the barber. My sister convinced him that she could cut his hair for a quarter, and he could spend the other quarter at the corner store on candy. I will mention that my sister was 8-years-old and definitely NOT a barber. His mother was furious!
Little miss know-it-all just destroyed Dill’s kiddie car. I hope her parents have her on their auto ins policy. Hopefully, Dill will get a brand new one and she will NEVER get to ride it.
Oh the humanity! Poor Dill. Bullied into compliance by a woman driver! Will he rush to the aid of Alice or his kiddie car? I know which one I would pick.
