Somebody needs to supervise a friendship between Big Shirley and Alice.

Big Shirley actually did really well with a panicky kid and getting biffed on the nose with a chew toy : )

We know Big Shirley is a dog because they say she’s a dog – but we’re looking at some unidentifiable but benign beast, much like Edward Koren’s ‘what-is-its’.

Well, Polyfill did start out in the world as a dog toy.

I wonder if Richard meant Big Shirley to look porcine, or if he was just not great at drawing dogs…

I love this arc. I’d say that it’s one of my favorites, but I could say that about most of them. :)

I never did figure out what kind of dog she is. Beyond big.
