If we are apologizing to our parents, then; Mom, I am sorry about your new O’Keefe and Merrit stoves oven and the two kitchen walls. I just wanted to make some biscuits to serve you breakfast in bed. Honestly.(and wasnt it great that my eyebrows grew back?)
If it’s kitchen “incidents” we’re speaking of, I have had some disasters, mostly long ago . Once I tried to open a pressure cooker too soon (not only bonked my head but I seem to remember some stuff on the ceiling) and another time, rendering some ham fat in a large pan in a kitchen with a sloping floor, the pan slid off, giving me a 2nd degree burn on most of my legs.
Stuff happens. I don’t let it bother me in the long run.
I had a stovetop espresso machine blow up. Coffee covered the ceiling, cupboards and all four walls. The true miracle was that I was reading the newspaper right in front of the pot, but neither I nor the newspaper got hit with even a drop, despite the fact that the wall behind me was covered with coffee spots.
I’m not much of a blower upper. The worst I’ve done was take something out of the oven, turn around and do something else, then turn back around grab the pan and get half way to the table before I realize I forgot the oven mitts. I wish I could say I’ve only done it once.

I blew up several models as a youngster. Never accidentally.

Lotsa balloons.
I’ve read about people blowing up cars and stuff….but I couldn’t do that…
well, not without a bicycle pump.

I’ve blown my top a few times, and more than my share of balloons.

This sounds a little too close to my childhood. Sorry about the garage, Mom & Dad!

my sister once forgot she was making hard boiled eggs. They exploded all over the kitchen.
