Looks like an easy fix to me. If that’s the worst of his problems for the day then he should be a happy man.

Solution-Turn on dryer for at least 45Min., empty dishwasher, load dishwasher and get it going. Take clothes out of washer for drying prep. Check clothes in dryer if dry take out, place prepped clothes in dryer. Fold and put away dry clothes continue in such organized manner. No big deal.

I don’t see the problem. Start the dryer. Unload the clean dishes, putting them away. Reload the dishwasher and start it. If the dryer’s finished, unload it, set aside the dry clothes, load the dryer from the washer, and start it. Fold and put away the dry clothes. The dishwasher is probably finished so unload it, putting the clean dishes away. When the dryer finishes unload it, folding and putting away those clothes. One caution, don’t fold the clean dishes.

The worst that can happen is you have clean clothes in kitchen cabinets and dishes stored around the bedroom, BUT you’re never allowed to do it again.

Turn on the clothes dryer, put away the clean dishes in the dishwasher, load it up again with dirty dishes from the sink, turn it on.

Come back in an hour, take the clothes out of the dryer, fold them, put them away, put the ones from the washing machine in the dryer, etc etc.

Not rocket science. The issue is making oneself do the above…
