I love to cook (and chill the onios so that they seldom make me cry). I just put a big pan of kidney and garbanzos on to simmer for a few hours with bay and garlic (were soaking all night) and I can chop some nice string beans later (and celery) and macerate all my spices to whisk into red wine vinegar and good olive oil. The bean salad will be improving with the days while I enjoy it in this (almost hot) weather. Today and tomorrow we won’t even reach 100.

Aah…. this is “basted” on the old onion routine, but with a new, fresh twist!

If Horace is struggling in making goose, I wonder if we’d come back, and find that it’s eventually cooked?

There’s nothing like home cooking, as long as someone else is cooking it.
