Chivalry isn’t just about stabbing and slashing harmless light fixtures, Horace. Once upon a time, it was about acting as if women were valuable. You got that wrong….
I just finished a novel “Murder at the War” which showed in many instances how our game is played all with great chivalry. Both men and women who play correctly demonstrate chivalry and courtesy with each other.
It IS NICE to have a group of friends who are all examples of that (even though most of the guys like to hit each other with sticks); most of the ladies (and some men) find other Medieval things to do.

Chivalry isn’t dead. It’s just not feeling very well.

Historically, chivalry was never that well practiced in the first place, even in its proper day and age.
I like Horace’s take on it better anyway.

I’ll respect your right to be emancipated, but ask you respect my right to be a gentleman in return

Chivalry may not be dead Horace, but very shortly, you’re going to wish YOU were.
