The NFL used to hold its Super Bowl on the first Sunday in February. As so so many people call out of work the day after the Super Bowl, that’s why Sickie Day has statistically been Feb 6. But these days the Super Bowl is held on the second Sunday in February (Feb 11 this year) due to the schedule expansion. So Sickie Day would expect to migrate accordingly in time.
