Somehow, this explanation doesn’t quite seem to fit with all we’ve endured up until this point…

You could be right. The tiger does have a dishonest look in his eyes!

BTW, has anyone fed the tiger yet?

I just hope that the tiger didn’t eat The Pig on Wheels when we weren’t looking…..

Panel Two is clearly a pig’s-eye-view:

As we speak, the Pig On Wheels is heroically rolling towards the circus tent’s entrance!

Okay, so maybe there was another script they were supposed to be using, that was actually interesting and exciting and made sense and didn’t have Dick Tracy being stupid and helpless, and they decided to just run the last week of that script after making us suffer through this drek all summer.

    Anybody got a better explanation?

Circuses travel. They don’t own the property on which they perform! How many ridiculous explanations are we going to get for this mess?

SInce when does a circus own land. Last time I checked the circus was at Madison Square Garden. Are they trying to buy that? It will be at the Boston Garden Next week. Then the plan starts all over. Pretty soon, stupid Britney Spears will have no place for a concert because the circus owns all the land……

I think your assumption on the Tiger eating the Pig on Wheels is a sound one. The poor creature was starved and thrice denided !

By contrast Tracy continues making wild accusations without a shred of evidence in the style of a Judge summimg up just before sentencing.

In local parlance ”ALL man guilty” ! Sentencing next week !

More seriously Locher needs to stop changing his facts from week to week as he goes along. Read the text above and compare the contradictions below :

8-08-09 (Tracy to Ringo):”Let me get this straight. you’re the Owner and Ringmaster of the O’Connell Circus” 10-30-09 (Mr,Pops - shouting):”You’re not taking me in ..* this is MY Circus, mine all *mine”! (and repeated in 2 other panels)

Today’s statements suggest none of them OWN the Circus. DL needs to take care, on the heels of so many distortions readers may begin to “believe” he is slipping into dotage

ridenslide65, good catch! If we wanted to be extremely generous, we might suppose that Tracy’s referring to the Circus’s intellectual property.

“Intellectual” is certainly one of the first words that comes to mind when I think of this strip.

Considering the caliber of these acts, I hardly think they needed a murder to scare off customers. If anything, a few murders might increase the audience.

Maybe the “property” is the tent, the animals, cages, clown car, and the PIG ON WHEELS!!! That’s it!! They wanted the world’s only PIG ON WHEELS! The greatest circus attraction since Gargantua. To paraphrase myself (if I may): This strip is Brenda Starr with bad art.

I’m still sticking with the “Killer Clowns from Space” theory.

The “property” in question is the “tent” itself, which is in fact not a tent at all but an alien space ship. Mr. Pops (an alien who just looks like a clown) lost it to Ringo during a poker game (part of Ringo’s FBI witless protection training was how to cheat at cards), and cooked up this scheme to get it back before the Alien Police come to arrest him and haul him away in the Pig on Wheels.

As for Agent Enema, she’s clearly some other non-human species, but given her inaction for the seventeen years or so that this story’s been dragging on, she must be related to those “watchers” who show up on “Fringe.” (Oh wait–last night one of the “watchers” actually DID something. Agent E. can’t be one of them after all…)

N7326 Foxtrot, Yours is the most cogent question on this story as it ends. It concisely sums up all that is wrong and a message for Author Dick Locher pointing out his major writing flaw. I’ll repeat it below:

”So sfter watching this thing for four months it has to be explained to us? “

Perhaps that’s why at the begining there was this big hullabaloo about what HAPPENED (?) - we don’t see it in the story, so now it’s expalanation time !

    OldTracy,

Don’t you realize that’s where Locher seems to get his “highs” ?

“Agent Ennen, the most useless character in the history of comics”?

She’d have a hard time beating “message man”, Detective Lt. Teevo for that spot. He displaced the renown “Useless Eustace” on his arrival back in 2007 !

It was a significant Locher triumph in creating nonsense !
