Oh man, this Teevo thing could go either way now. This Tracy storyline has to be taken one day at a time. Just the way I like it. And it’s funny Ray, I’ve thought the same thing about an MCU mug. Gotta be real fans, for sure. Go Team Tracy!
Agreed, Stagger Lee. Something seems fishy here. If Teevo really meant that he had to warn Tracy about something (an ambush?), then Chief Patton had better get this straightened out quickly! Could Lt. Teevo be a double agent, maybe not for the MCU, but for, say, the FBI—in which case, should we be suspicious of Fritz Ann?
I think Teevo meant to warn Tracy and Co of some danger. At least I hope so. While not my favorite character in the strip I would rather not have him be a bad cop.Gotta mention that it says something about the writing when we are even having this kind of conversation.
Teevo’s the rat and wants to warn Panda and friends of Tracy’s arrival. He said it out loud because he was shocked. After all, he’s been feeding secret intel to Panda but had no idea this was going to happen.
#12…. i agree that this seems too easy, and youd think that with all his years on the force pat would be smart enough to NOT “orner the rat” without back-up OR concrete evidence of wrongdoing. so far all he’s got is teevo taking the gum off the camera, and then saying outloud that tracy’s outside panda’s place and that he’s got to warn them. circumstantial evidence at best, but MAYBE enough leverage for teevo to sell out mr crime and his gang. btw, HOW and WHEN did panda and mr crime recruit teevo anyway!?
Yesterday Mike Curtis admitted Teevo was working for Mr. Crime; I believe him. ;-)I think Jim D makes another appearance Monday, as Mike mentioned on the Yahoo boards. I hope Mugg is still with him!
Did Teevo say it out loud in a moment of panic because he realized Tracy had slipped one by him? It would make sense if Mr. Crime was blackmailing Teevo, and he was afraid that whatever they had on him would become public.
@Mike CurtisJust read the rest of yesterday’s comments; thanks for setting me straight. I thought the two moles both worked for Mr. Crime. (Wrong again!)Thanks for such a great story! You keep us all guessing!
I’m a retired union man, and not a Nixon fan. Nixon was not all that Michel J. Fox and others made him out to be. He tried to destroy the unions and today’s prices are skyrocketing and … and I am babbling. TEEVO is a rat. This story is awesome; thanks team.
This thing with Lt Teevo could go either way. Remember that Panda kept saying that things were going according to plan when they were feeding info to the cops thru Mumbles. Maybe this is a setup, and Tracy and Company are walking into a trap. But, then, maybe Lt Teevo is what he appears to be – a rat. I suspect we will find out tomorrow.
Okay, since I was totally correct about the identity of Mr. Crime, I’m gonna make another guess. Teevo is not as guilty as he looks, and we’ll soon learn he’s saying he needs to warn Tracy about some danger.
Got a question for the readers here. On the Tracy YAHOO group, I was asked of our stories have titles. I hadn’t thought about it, but I like the idea. The mid January story is entitled ONLY TIME WILL TELL, for instance. Anyone here have an opionion on this?
@ Mike Curtis; While titles of story lines are interesting, I’m not sure I would remember the title of this one because of it’s length. That’s not a complaint as I love how long and intricate this has become. Popeye always has a titled story and I never rember it as it’s only shown in the first panel of the beginning of the story. I’ve noticed that a lot of the commentors have mentioned past stories by characters. I don’t read this strip because of the title of the episode, I read it because I really enjoy the content and art work.
Maybe I’m thinking too hard about this, but in the center panel where Teevo spews his coffee we’re only seeing a back view of Tracy’s signature hat and trench-coat so I’m wondering if it could be someone else dressed to look like Tracy. I can’t think of any reason to do that, but the thought occurred to me.
When will people ever get over Nixon? Really when you think about it his only crime was covering up a childish prank. No one was hurt in the watergate break-in, nothing was stolen. They only wanted to tap the phone in which they would have learned nothing important. I don’t condon it but it was just a childish prank. Nixon had no part in the break-in, he only covered it up because he feared it would hurt his re-election. And for that he was treated like the Devil himself. There are people in Washington, D.C. who have done much worse.
This really isn’t the place to discuss Nixon, unless you were kidding. Nixon did a lot more than pranks. Great developments in the story and nice close us. Can’t wait to see what happens tomorrow.
Back to fictional crimes —I know three characters are doomed, but I’ve got to admit, Mike’s done such a good job developing these characters, I’m conderned which ones will get it.Fritz Ann, Blaze and Abner are three of my favorite new chartacters, and I’d hate to see B-B Eyes, Mumbles or Leonard done in.Mike, you’ve done too good a job! (And keep it up!)

First off… Why would Teevo be dumb enough to say that aloud? Second off… Where can I get a MCU coffee mug? I don’t even drink coffee, but I want one.
Have a great day, folks.

This is way too easy with the Chief standing there. I wonder if Lt. Teevo meant he was going to warn Team Tracy about going into Panda’s place.

On titles. Well, if the next story had a title, it would be from the song that inspired the villian. Lady Gaga’s BAD ROMANCE.
