Nice alternative angle in the first frame! Are there still vaudeville performers around with excellent recall? Well, I guess it was only “lesser vaudeville.”
Is Tracy paying for VItamin’s half of the check too? If he’s don’t forget the receipt, Dick. Your need for your expense report. (Tracy maybe generous, but surley he isn’t that generous.)
Tracy is excessively tidy to fold his overcoat, yet neither he nor Vitamin are members of the clean plate club. As it says on the wall of the great Eleven City Diner, “Finish your plate.”
SUGAR DADDY: All yours, my boy. You got the check?…
…Thanks. We’ll call it even. No need to pay my Confidential Informant fee this week. Well, back to putting my ear to the ground for you. Tracyville’s theater district is a wealth of info on the goings-on of the criminal community. DT:snitchSUGAR: What’s that? DT: Nothing. Just coughed a little.
More excellent POV variety! And the characters are not static. As they continue to talk, Vitamin gets up and puts on his coat, and Tracy reaches for some cash to pay the bill. Very realistic – that’s just what two people would do as they wrap up their time together over lunch at a diner like this. Nice.

And while you’re at it, Vitamin, ask him “What are the 39 Steps?”

I’m not seeing the strip image. Or any from GoComics.

Good morning™, stern taciturn detectives !
Tracy is a veritable stonewall in P. 3. I hope the camera doesn’t fall off the crane in P. 1.
I saw Remilio Eecalli deliver 21 obscurities to a stunned audience. Bless the greater Vaudvillains for the crimes they are about to commit.

Wait, panel 03, that’s not Dick! It’s Sam! In a Tracy mask! What is going on here?

Tracy folds his yellow overcoat so neatly when he places it on the seat next to him.

Yes, I have the same problem. Looks like they are not really updating their software. Starting to be too many problems on this site.

This plot is straight out of The 49 Steps with a performer who does a memory act.

Emilio Recalli should be able to recall “Presto” if anyone can. By all means, consult him, Vitamin.
Tracy is looking much more Tracy-ish in panel 3….

Not liking the abstract difference between the character drawings. And it bothers me that we just had this with DT and Dethany.

I don’t know if Google killed vaudeville, but I’ll bet it sure killed poor Emilio’s act.

I guess Emilio’s stage act could be considered to be a “Trivial Pursuit”.

For all the grief folks are bringing up about this Minute Mystery, just remember: We could be looking at Shaky 3.0!

Wearing a hat nowadays is an anachronism that Dick Tracy follows; it’s unusual, though, even in its time, to be wearing a hat indoors.
