De Ring!!! De Ring!!! as Tattoo from Fantasy Island might have said. We now know the whodunit. Next is the whydunit. Also how did he manage to disable those Transit cameras at just the critical time needed.
I’m late. Anyway, that’s the second time we’ve seen that ring. I’m not sure what the ring actually means, but do the plans indicate that the wiring was revised in 1937? I wonder how that fits in with the present time.
Well… No errors in logic today. If you’re going to do something electrical and the wiring is more than 80 years old you want to check out the schematics and replace everything before throwing a switch.
While I kept faith with the writing for nine days at the start as soon as dialog started to appear logic went out the window. Maybe this would be better as a dumb strip (strip where a character doesn’t speak, The Little King being perhaps the most famous example).
Greek historians simply invented dialog appropriate for the individual and situation to make reading their work more interesting (as Thucydides explains – and should be remembered by anyone reading the book of Acts). I think comic strip writers should learn from Greek historians before writing dialog.
1937. Yup…this is smacking of that guy with the “mechanical monsters” from the Superman Fleischer-era cartoon that I mentioned earlier in the week…….THAT was in 1941…..still using vacuum tubes in the clock, I reckon…….
2 – JUNIOR: Daddy gives me the worst office with the worst office supplies! When he kicks it, I’ll build myself the best office in this town!
3 – JUNIOR: And it will have electricity and everything! And right here I’ll put Daddy’s urn and I’ll flick my cigar ashes in it. And also this booger that’s on the tip of finger. Oh. I better put it in my Booger Box so it won’t get lost…
wiring diagram showing the momentary switch being controled by a nand gate with one side chasis grounded while the transistor in the circuit activates the signal to the timer for the device to light up.

Wearing a similar suit to Junior from Tuesday, presumably him, but not showing the face to lend some ambiguity.

It definitely “signetfies” something vital.

If it is junior. He’s suddenly sporting a signet ring since talking to Daddy.

Nononono, OH no no no. It’s a picture of a switch on a plan. Pushing it repeatedly won’t turn the lights on and off.

I genuinely enjoy the artwork here, but to be honest I’ve long ago stopped following the story.
