Well, here in the great state of (secessionist) Texus, we have Governor Hair. He may look geat, but he can’t remember more than two things.Goog morning my friends. And now it’s back to bed.
If everyone voted like Joy, I’d be the emperor of Earth (and possibly this arm of the galaxy). (Okay, truthfully, I probably couldn’t get elected dog catcher; but Emperor of Earth does have a nice ring to it. Maybe plastic surgery and a toupee…)
I mean, hey, I’m the only commenter on this strip who uses semicolons; and that should count for something.
I lived for three years in Texas (80’s). I thought they already had seceded. It was completely like another country there…people, food, weather, all of it.
Miss Scarlet — I can see what you mean, but alas, no; the one I see (and I may be alone in this) is a teeny tiny one, right above the finger lever on the brass plate, or escutcheon.
GymShoe, that was so funny, your comment about Blago being raised in Chicago.
Hope Dave doesn’t steal it.
Wish we had actual time-stamping; then I could say “Your comment at xx:yy pm” or whatever.
And Mikie…. don’t get caught in any vices!
Ray, was that enough? I have lots more if we need them in order to qualify; I just tend to use more dashes here for dramatic effect. :)
I imagine it should annoy no one to say at this hour that the bulb is indeed where Gymshoe mentioned on the green blouse and there was a suggestion of one on the doorknob where Susan mentioned. AND – Elections are becoming so illogical as times progress that I really think that too many people are allowed that priviledge (and also that of becoming parents). When one gets to senior age the lack of intelligence in others can become greatly annoying.

Welcome to Illinois. Where our elected officials serve two terms. One in office and one in prison.

Hopefully, it is not the Penny’s place to vote either.
Great ad on the television!

And of course our officials should be elected on who’s the best looking of the lot. Integrity has nothing to do with it.
And (with apologies to Scotty), if me grandmother had wheels she’d be a wagon.

G’morning Crustwood!
The man in the “Goofy for President” shirt isn’t willing to judge anyone….unless the guy’s cutting into the line ahead of him at the buffet.
Cheat on your taxes, run around on your wife, lie, steal, tell the press you got abducted by aliens or think Mexico is north of Illinois.
The Pennys will still vote for you — IF you have a good haircut and you don’t get between Burl and food.
Hey, anybody else see a tiny eye that looks like it wants to be a miniature Find-It?

Actually, looks may not have gotten Kennedy elected, but it did help him win a large TV debat with Nixon.

Another biting bit of satire from Julie! Too, too, TOO many voters are just like the Pennys in real life! It is discouraging in the extreme.
