@jo clear… with boyfriends it works, but for dogs that’s excellent advice! I know of a shelter dog who got adopted by a visiting politician because she was trembling and looking totally hopeless.. as the politician had not capacity and time for the dog, she said immediately she would be a present for her daughter (it was an older german shephard bitch, very sweet, but quite large and all that). Later she told me, that immediately in the car, the dog stopped the shivering and became a normal happy dog, never looked back, so to say… and yes: the adoption worked out. (A good daughter knows when to be a good daughter)
