Noise: Ring! "Feelings..." Lacey: Yes, this is Mrs. Davenport. Any messages for me this evening? Voice: Oh, let's see. Yes, ma'am. At 4:30. You got a message from the people. Lacey: The people? The people sent me a message? What's it say, dear? Voice: It says they're tired of big government bleeding them dry. They want across the board cutbacks in property taxes. They don't care if the chief beneficiaries of such a plan are big corporations. The people want instant relief. It's okay with them if you don't think the idea through. Lacey: I see. Tell me, what was their mood, dear? Voice: They seemed mas as heck, almost. Almost as if they wouldn't take it anymore. Lacey: I see. Any other messages? Voice: Yes, the people again. They called back at six to see if you'd gotten the message.
