You're tune to "Profiles on Parade," and we're still talking to New York publicist Kitty Tracy, fame broker to scores of top superstars! Ms. Tracy, let's talk a minute about New York's recent newspaper strike. That was a tough time for the industry, was it not? Woman: Oh, my dear, yes! It was absolutely devastating for everyone! For eight long weeks, no one had any idea who was hot, what was playing, what the bottom lines were, who was getting points, and who was seen with whom at which disco! For the first time in years, New Yorker's had no idea what Jackie, Warren, Diane, Woody, Andy, Bianca, Mick, Truman or Norman were doing! You can't imagine how empty people's lives became! It was a terrible, terrible time, Mar... I know for a fact that Halston's publicist came within an inch of taking her life! Mark: What stopped her? Woman: Well, lack of coverage, of course. But she was quite serious about it!
