Henry Jackson: General, let's get right down to brass tacks! Is the Soviet Union turning Cuba into a fortress-state? Man: Well, the evidence certainly suggests so, Senator Jackson. For instance, a recent SR-71 flight brought back some aerial photographs of a Cuban military supply depot. One of the photographs revealed a Soviet commissary officer examining a requisition form. When translated from the original Spanish, the form was found to contain a request for nearly 1,500 Czech staple guns. Jackson: Staple guns? With an offensive capability? Man: Let's just say the technology is available.
