Mark: So how are you holding up, Rick? Rick: With what? Mark: You know, the blog thing. Rick: Oh, that. Fine. But thanks for the pity. Mark: And we're happy to welcome my old pal and veteran Rick Redfern! Rick: Good to be here, Mark. Mark: Rick, you've recently blogged that Newt Gingrich is running for President in '12. Make your case. Rick: It's all in the epithets, Mark. Back when he was Speaker, Gingrich drw up a list of suggested slurs on Democrats, including, "corrupt," "pathetic," "greedy," "traitorous," "sick" and "radical." But in the last few months, he's been favoring language like "despicable," "incompetent," "dishonest," "vicious," "racist" and "lying." Mark: Um... interesting, I think. What does it mean? Rick: Don't you see? There's a real shift in tone! Mark: There is? Rick: It's more robust! More base-friendly! He's definitely going for it.
Nailed it Rick!
