Sid: Sorry, Prieb-dawg. Not seeing any A-listers who'd want to get in bed with you... The cold truth is Hollywood doesn't much relate to the GOP demo. Reince Priebus: What demo is that? Sid: Angry old white guys. Reince Priebus: Total stereotype! Some of us aren't old! Sid: Great name for a band, by the way. Who owns that?

Who owns the name? Clint Eastwood, of course.

So Hollywood gets to DEFINE you, and then based on that definition, they get to portray you in whatever they want!
This is fair HOW?

In Y2K, after Al Gore accepted the nomination at the DNC, he said that the first thing he would do is go after Hollywood and the entertainment industry. But I haven’t been able to find record of that. And maybe that’s why he received an Oscar or some type of award, to effectively shut him up.

No hatred involved in Reagansome of us simply love him. Some of his words touched us deeply“This wall is a monument to the failure of Communism”He turned a symbol of Soviet power into a symbol of failure existing only through brute force.“Headed for the dust bin of history”Rejecting the manifest destiny concept that the USSR would conquer the world.“Trust but verify”Rejecting the idea we should accept unproven promises by known liars“Then I guess that would make the Soviets The Evil Empire.”Correctly naming what they were through a popular movie reference tied to the name they gave his proposal we investigate protecting the American people in case of nuclear attack..The man had many flaws, but man we loved him (in a manly way, of course)!

And others insist on marking race on all kinds of forms to ferrett out racism, insisting we never exercise racial blindness under the assumption of racial bias based on outcome.

One of my relatives, who is fourteen now, has a preexisting condition that requires once-per-month or every-other-month treatments. They cost $6,000 a pop! Maybe some would think that she doesn’t deserve to live, but I, for one, am thankful for the Affordable Care Act.

How many days before GoComics realizes that “sarge-party-checker” has once again violated their terms of service and pulls the plug? I think this is the closest thing he has to human interaction…

That peanut farmer was put in power because he was squeeky clean, just what the dems needed. His only true failure was not going into Iran as soon as the hostages were taken. The interest rates were rising because of old policies – there is always inflation after a war, someone has to pay for it(If they had to pay as they went, the people at home would vote all the hawks out).

Are you really concerned about people who are losing doctors? If so, were you equally concerned with the tens of millions of people who’s only access to medical care before ACA was the emergency room? Are you concerned about all the people who medical costs have driven them into bankruptcy? Should medical care only be for the elite? Are you a member of the elite? Do you believe in a social Darwinistic approach to medical care: if they can’t afford it, let them die? I haven’t heard one constructive alternative to the ACA from it’s opponents. Can you clearly and realistically lay out an alternative plan to the first attempt at health care. Harry Truman tried to implement a plan but was blocked as was every President since who tried. I’m having a hard time believing that you really care about whether people get health care or not, certainly nothing you said was very convincing. I really have no idea where you’re coming from here.

Facts. Not so easy to come by and I’m still trying to separate fact from fiction. At this point I certainly don’t accept what you’re saying as facts. Who are you? What is your health care plan? Perhaps you could cite your sources. Are you 100% sure they’re unbiased? No room for doubt at all? Are you sure that those who opposed this from day one were really concerned about working people’s health, or did they have other motives? Are you sure that if the opponents had worked with it and tried to improve it that it wouldn’t be working better? Where are you getting your “facts” from? One fact I’m quite sure of is that fewer and fewer people are controlling more of the wealth in this country and the big money interests are growing more powerful as the middle class shrinks. As George Carlin said: “it’s a big club and you ain’t in it.” Are you in it? Facts. Not so easy to come by these days. The only facts I’m 100% sure of is that my wife can now get health insurance where she couldn’t before and that the same forces fighting health care for the working people of this country are the same ones who fought medicare tooth and nail a generation ago. Are you on the side of these reactionaries? Where do you stand? What’s your solution? I ask you again; should we go back to what we had before?

First, as I recall, the $8B was to come out of Medicare Advantage, a gift to the insurance companies in the first place. Remember that the republicans were going to do the same thing, but then blamed it on Obama?Second, the “ACA” is not going to deny anyone treatments. Everyone has to buy private insurance. The level you buy determines the cost of treatment. Whether everything is available is up to the provider and the market. I work in a hospital and I see plenty of senior citizens receiving treatment.

I feel like what I’m reading here are opinions, not facts. I agree with some of them but not all. Not surprising since I’ve never agreed with all of anyone’s opinions, ever. I’m very, very suspicious of your motivation and your logic. “Wealth will never be spread to your satisfaction.” That doesn’t make an iota of sense at any level. It seems to me that you’ve given up on having a better country, have thrown in the towel on improving the status quo. I can picture you telling the Wright Brothers; “you’ll never get that thing off the ground. Give it up.” Telling the suffragettes of 100 years ago; “just quit, you’ll never get the right to vote.”
