Yes, we find it slightly … odd … that you are so keen on our royalty when you were at such pains to chuck them out a couple of centuries ago. On the other hand, the current crop are rather more appealing than mad King George.

I wasn’t aware that we had any influence at all on your foreign policy; over here the relationship is seen as precisely the opposite.

As for the two world wars, the general British view is that the Americans eventually work out what is the right thing to do, but always two years late, and in the case of WWII only when Japan made your minds up for you…

I guess it’s fashionable to besmirch and piss on the exceptionalism of America and the people that made American great from the WH on down to malcontents. I researched the www and could find nothing that Paul Revere’s request for his expenses was false. He did submit a request for reimbursement of expenses to the congress and people like Adams and Hamilton approved the expenses. Can you provide any proof that Revere submitted a padded expense request??
