Zonker: What? You want me to do anti-tanning ads? Mike: Zonker, you've said yourself that tanning is dangerous. There were 500,000 cases of skin cancer in the U.S. last year. If you, a former professional tannist, went on the air and urged kids to get out of tanning, the impact could be enormous! Zonker: But... but I'm under a lot of pressure from my studies here! Where am I going to find the time to become a TV star? Mike: Zonker, I checked with your dean. School's been out for a month. Zonker: So that's why the tennis courts have been so free! Mike: What do you say: I could have a crew here by tomorrow.

Dan Quayle played 2.5 rounds of golf a day while he was in college. He makes Zonker look like an also-ran.

Not many tanners use the real sun to tan anymore. It’s all done in the light boxes. I think attendance is down, but still around and available.

My dermatologist said to use SPF 50 sunscreen any time that I am in the sun. Good advice.

NOTE TO READERS:
If any of my comments ever appear twice, you can attribute that to a kink in GoComics programming. Sometimes, it’s really labor-intensive to go back and check for that little flaw, and sometimes I have a propensity to make lots of comments. (They don’t call me ‘Chatty Kathy’ for nothing!
