Didn’t somebody give the minister a lineup before the start of the service?

Im guessing the lineup was supposed to be as said in panel 1 but eccentricities got in the way. Lacey was a saint to put up with this Band of Brethern. Then again they werent married very long just living in sin for many many years.

That’s what they get for holding the service in Congress.

This arc is a lot funnier reading it now, at my age, then it was when I read it the first time, back in the "80’s. I can relate to it much more.

I’m sure Dick would have agreed with me when I say, you cannot crucify humanity upon a cross of gold! 54-40 or Fight!

@Frankfreak said, (correctly, I might add)(“It has alway been about America, of which politics is part of.”.You can drop either “of” and have the perfect number of prepositions, position doesn’t really matter that much with prepositions, despite the implication of the name.)

The bickering is vaguely reminiscent of Congress these days.
