Vegas saw a lot of their convention dollars going to Orlando, so they thought they had to become family-friendly. It didn’t last. Now, Vegas has become as much of a place to go clubbing as gambling, so the incentive to keep rooms and food cheap has faded. So what is Vegas now? Too expensive.
If you want a bit of ’Vegas, go to a grocery store and watch a desperate-looking person scratch-off a stack of state lottery scratch-offs. All of the grocery money lost.
What ABOUT Mom, Earl? Have you spared her a thought since mysteriously disappearing in the company of a known criminal (dressed as a priest, yet) whom your mom might not even realize is your father? :-|
I’m still not sure why Earl was at an orphanage if his mother’s still alive (maybe someone just plain disapproved of a stripper being a mother) but AFAIK we’ve seen no indication that Earl’s mother doesn’t love him, so she can reasonably be expected to worry about him. Hopefully Honey (who created the situation in the first place by telling Duke he was Earl’s father, oh, good one, Honey…) apprised her of the situation before taking it on the lam herself.
Never been to Vegas, although it seems everybody else from Hawai`i has that as their premier destination. I learned casino gambling the ‘hard way’ in Reno and Tahoe. After a few months of lo$ing, I discovered the Wizard of Odds. Playing odds at the craps table and knowing how the dice tend to fall (it’s less random than you would expect) I now always leave with more $$$ than I had when I entered.

Not to mention other stuff that Duke will take great pleasure in telling you about when you’re older.

Yeah, but their luck will turn and they’ll make it all back and more. Just wait and see.

I wonder at what point guys are generally allowed to graduate from the merry-go-round to the Mustang ranch?

I’d love to spend some quality time in an adult safe clean neon-lit pleasure park!

At least Junior will have one good time in his youth to enjoy with all the memories he made there.

The “family-fication” of Las Vegas was considered a limited success and the trend has been reversing, even before the pandemic.

I lost more on carnival games than in the casino at Excalibur our first time there.

The house always wins. And they will give you lots of free stuff to make sure you play.
