Never mind all this fun stuff from 25 years ago — Mordor is Under Siege! The Walls of Jeri-Mar-A-Cho Come Tumbling Down!! TFG Is Lurching Down The Perp Walk!!
Watched Her Majesty greet the veterans of Normandy at the 70th Anniversary. They seem like old friends— survivors. No matter what, when the world was in peril she picked up a weapon (or a spanner) and stood a post.
I bet she still packs a Browning Hi-Power in her purse and knows how to use it.
The last panel sounds like a Maddy and Dave (from “Moonlighting”) routine, with Dave asking in his usual rapid-fire way and Maddy answering with the exclamatory ending.
I remember when the princess died. a group of us were making ,bad, jokes being firmly in Charles’ camp when we were told to fall out for a memorial service. as we were practicing the mourning drill, trying to look somber a friend 2 down from me in the rank starts going “I’m miss her sooooo much!”I won’t say we were mirthful at the actual memorial, the drill was crisp and perfect. but darn the practice was jolly,

This sounds like a musical reference. Anyone? Thanks.

All of Europe is envious of the most popular monarchy in history. Money has nothing to do with it. It’s show time!

One would think that Elizabeth knows how other European monarchs solve the problem. Juan Carlos in Spain comes to mind.

Perhaps Sir Paul would say that Her Majesty can regain her touch as she changes from day to day.

Is this gag a Gilbert and Sullivan reference I’m not getting?

If the Queen’s advisors are asking Zonker for guidance, they have lost their minds. She might as well just watch the EastEnders and get it over with.

She was great when young with no title. She never did understand the popularity of Lady Di.

It is always amusing to Americans when UK royalty plays the “commoner than thou” game.

That last panel has a Gilbert and Sullivan rhythm to it. Fitting.

The whole royalty thing is primitive and ludicrous. To gain a position of power by birthright is immoral!!!!!
