I could pull into the next town and pay the town clerk, mail a certified check to that same town clerk or ignore the fine and never enter the US again. I paid the fine.
Talk about getting an upcharge. It would probably be worth it if you were going to jail anyway for something piddly. If you’re going to be punished, make it for something
