I’ve heard of it. I believe it was three guys (two maybe?) who drove side-by-side down a highway at exactly the speed limit. Traffic was backed up behind them for miles. Ticketed for interfering with the flow of traffic.
Actually, my first trip to California with my family (we flew in to go to Disneyland) I was stopped in my rental car for driving the speed limit by a member of the California Highway Patrol and issued a warning – he told me to drive “with the traffic” and ignore the posted speed limit.
Since I had trouble with that, I compromised and let my wife drive – posted speed limits have always been the merest “suggestion” to her way of thinking…
Just because “I” don’t break laws, I do understand that sometimes it IS considered necessary, and try not to be too judgmental about it…
Driving speed limit and complete stops at stop signs is probable cause for having your vehicle searched for narcotic drugs. (Clint Eastwood film The Mule) Or maybe you are totally drunk and being extra careful.

So many morons on the road think the rules don’t apply to them and they can do what they want, regardless of the laws and how others feel
