Isn’t there usually a caveat to these things if it can be proven the notice was obstructed in such a way the car owners didn’t see it? Because then them parking there technically wasn’t their fault, it was whoever cleared the parking space and piled up all that snow there.
Granted, the tricky part is actually proving they really didn’t see the notice…and I’m sure the officials hear THAT one all the time…

I watch a show called Parking Wars and many people see the signs and don’t feel that the signs apply to THEM as they are privileged.

I’ve heard that you can get away with parking at a bad meter if you can prove that you couldn’t get it to accept a coin, but good luck with that.
