If the school is in walking distance, make Carly walk to school WITH her backpack if she misses the bus due to her stubborness. If it’s too far to walk, then she misses school and will have to make up the missed days. No tv or phone while at home. Abby is too much into keeping the proper order of things (making sure she makes the bus) to teach a lesson.
Winning the battle but losing the war. Hopefully, eventually gaining the peace, and some reparations. An extra piece of cake somewhere around your birthday? (Don’t ask for too much)
See, Abby’s signaling she’s not even in disagreement with Len on this, she’s just saying that it was a bad time to be having that fight. Is that really so difficult to understand?
My wife and I came to an agreement, before we had children. No matter what we think of the other’s decision with a child, we keep our mouth shut and stand united. A house divided will fall. Children will not learn discipline, and it is truly the parents’ fault. Abby should have stood united with him and if Carly missed the bus, then he or she should walk Carly to school. Believe me, the child never needs to be walked to school a second time, by a parent.

I like his answer, “I just did”. It’s not healthy to have to be the one who’s right all the time

You know? This storyline is really irritating me, and rather than get further irritated, I’m just going to let go of this strip. Bye, guys!
