Give that the topsiders in the ruined lab seemed to be aware of the menace talking to them, and taking such a strong stand against it (i.e. destroying their equipment rather than letting that menace come through once again, it must not have manifested itself as Eye in the overt form the Dr is seeing here, otherwise wouldn’t she have recognized it? And it seems unlikely she wouldn’t have known about the menace since whatever the topsider lab assistants were worried about must have done something rather dangerous in their presence, otherwise why the desperate response? Or could it be that it has only manifested itself since the Dr departed on her current journey. Which, although possible, seems unlikely since if it had caused extra special dangerous havoc before, wouldn’t the powers that be in topsider land be aware of something destructive in their realm and be more on elevated alert, instead of shopping and playing tennis? Unless the damage was localized to their secret lab and, as in Ravenscroft’s case, was witnessed by a horrified lab crew, but vanished rather quickly, so the outsider topsiders might not have been aware of it yet. There is also the fact that she seems rather well-informed, and if she had known about it, wouldn’t she be extra cautious on her journey since she would have known the kind of danger it represented?

Soo, is this the dittos reacting to an interference with their host’s dreams, or is that eye in the dream-bubble an actual entity spying on them?
