It’s often been my observation that a lot of administrators used to be phys-ed teachers, and moved to admin when their brains or bodies got tired of phys-ed. Or maybe they’re just the only teachers who don’t have reams of marking and lesson planning to do evenings and weekends, so they can upgrade the required courses on their spare time more readily.
