"I'll be your campaign manager if you run for the school board." "Thanks, Teddy." "I'll do opposition research, prepare negative ads and make robo-calls to voters." "That'll be $20,000." "Terrific." "I just identified a $20,000 cost savings for my campaign." "Don't make me call the other side."
Does anyone still answer those phone calls- the phone tells you who is on the other end. And, I haven’t watched a commercial since they invented the fast forward button. I don’t open mail, emails etc from candidates. I learn what I want to know from watching debates, and the actual candidates on TV and research the candidates I actually might vote for on the computer— I’m not at all sure that the traditional campaign is actually reaching anyone anymore.
