We had a built in wall to wall wardrobe created for our bedroom by a bespoke carpentry company. They’d shown us their usual builds, so I took one of their concepts and made a proper technical drawing with dimensions and placements so that the interior would be exactly as I wanted it. They did a good job, but the carpenter was clearly on autopilot and just did what he thought looked right and ignored a lot of my dimensions. Although I was still happy with the final product, I wasn’t happy that I had to reassess where everything was supposed to go now as the perfect spacing was now messed up.
