Reminds me of the hot dog shocker that my grandfather built as a youth. An arrangement involving two wonderfully exposed, bare metal rods which would shock the dogs with 110 volt house current. Had the dog splitting open in 60 seconds.
On anchovies: Decades ago a few friends of mine went out to a pizza joint for dinner. When asked what they wanted on the pizza, the wife exclaimed, “No dead fish!” The couple’s friend said, “You can load my half with dead fish; I love dead fish!” When it came out, it was half cheese, half ton of dead fish. No one could eat it: Not only were there way too many dead fish for the guy who liked them, but also the saltiness (probably from migrating oil) got all over the cheese half and destroyed it for the couple. I don’t know what they ate that night.
