Playing car with a chicken….

“But they’re supposed to cross the road! They always cross the road! Ohmigod why isn’t it crossing the road?!”

“A 1000 pound car against a 5 pound chicken? Au contraire, I think we got this.” Crash! Car slides off the road, overturns in the ditch, and bursts into flames.

That chicken better chicken out.

I have often wondered that same thing. Going off the road and center punching a tree to avoid hitting a squirrel, for instance.

This is definitely one of those “it’s too quiet around her moments.” Avoid the chicken at all costs. It’s either an IED, a member of a powerful alien race who only look like chickens, or something akin to the Monty Python Holy Grail rabbit. Not worth taking a chance.

Typical response from expert advisers that are risk adverse.

I would slow down to give it a chance to move (even change lanes if I can safely) but if it doesn’t, oh well. Not that I consider it a “lower life form” but my own safety and that of drivers around or behind me matter more.

Because a life is a life and those lesser life forms as you call them have as much the right to live as any human does.

I consider the Human Race to be “lesser life forms”. We’ve caused more damage to our environment that any other creature.

No there is the right to live and survive and the human race has no right to take that away.

When you find yourself in front of my vehicle you will appreciate it more.
