Ask me about the $400 toilet with a $3 wax ring that failed. Hidden slow leak covered by ‘required’ insulation. Cost a couple of grand to fix the wrecked subfloor/tile. A figging $3 wax seal with a tiny leak!
In my county, I am not making this up, there is a firm called “The Polite Plumber”. Their trucks are emblazoned with their motto, “We’ll never ask how it happened!”

That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

If it’s broken, why does it matter who broke it?

The use duct tape is a step in the right direction, towards attempting to fix anything….

It looks like it was almost fixed anyway.

I ran into that a ton when people would call me to fix a leak in their roof. Some of the stuff they tried…
It also made it harder to fix because of what they did to it. It wasn’t all bad though, more work to fix it usually meant more money to fix it.

The strip of tape on his elbow is purely coincidental.

How about the 50 cent bolt that let go while on the pot. Talk about embarrassing.
