Michael: Mrs. D seems to like her new renters! Weed: Lucky for them! OK, we gotta clear out the kitchen, Mike - and I have a serious concern.... Who gets "Ned"? Michael: I do! I bought him. Noise: Thok! Weed: Yes, but it is I who have dusted and cared for him...while you have ignored him totally. He's more than a rubber naked guy that you bought at a flea market, Mike. Ned represents "the futility of man." In other words...he is a futility symbol.
