Wait until you hit 50, Elly. You’ll look back and wonder how 20 or 30 years ago can seem like such a long time and such a short time at the same time!

Most distressing is when you go to a fast food place and they ask if you want a senior coffee! AAAAGGGHHHHH!!!!!

Youngest of 6 grandkids was 10 this year and eldest 2 (who are brothers) were 24 and 22. When I was “pushing 40” and recently divorced with 4 teens, I met the love of my life and last year just found that we still love each other ;-D

40 was traumatic, 50 taken in stride, now pushing 60. Feeling that 60 will be as rough as 40. Love the discounts….if you can remember to ask for them!

Well I was 29 when I had my first child and 31 when second child was born. They are now 41 and 39…yes you figured it out…I am 70 and the time is flying past me. Luckily I have 2 grandson one is 25 and the other is 2 (half brothers) Enjoy your children and cherish each moment…times moves too fast.

I began feeling old when my sisters became great grandmas!(They are both 11 years older than me – I was the latecomer of the family, and one cousin was 30 years older than me)

And then you’ll really feel old when a little child runs up and says “Grandma, will you buy me this? Mommy won’t”.

She shouldn’t complain! It’s better than the alternative. I’m just glad I wake up on this side of the grass every day! :)

Growing up with this family has been a wonderful part of my life. Seeing it all over again brings back a ton of warm memories.

It can work the other way too. I sometimes hear from parents saying it felt like it took them 200 years to teach their kids some manners!

we just watched WarGames on Netflix with Matthew Broderick and Ally Sheedy … always remember where he says the scientist dies … she says but he doesn’t look old … he says well, he was 41 … and she says, “oh, well … that’s old.” I used to agree. (I think Matthew was actually in his 20’s portraying a high school student … same as in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off) … now about to be 50 … feel like 30 … I’m good.
