1.Hey colourist! Uncle Danny has a beard and not a misshapen chin. His beard is the same colour as his head hair, not his skin.
2.In real life, the avatars for “mom and dad”, i.e., Grandpa Will and Grandma Carrie (Tom and Ruth Johnston) lived in the house next door to Lynn Johnston, so they would have to travel to and stay in the farm house in Manitoba if they all made this trip in real life. On the other hand, in the comic strip, Lynn Johnston has already established that Grandpa Will and Grandma Carrie live a short distance from Aunt Bev and Uncle Danny’s farm. I would think if there was a problem with sleeping space, they could just stay at their own place. I suspect their house is where Aunt Bev and Uncle Danny are spending the night.
3.I don’t get the part about learning to sleep standing up if you are farmer. Is he saying farmers watch horses to see how they do it?
